If any of these sound familiar, therapy can help

Trouble sleeping
because their mind won’t stop racing

Constant “what if” worries
or fears that spiral

Struggles with friendship
or avoiding social situations

Repetitive behaviors
like checking, counting, or repeating actions that ease worry but get in the way of daily life

Big meltdowns
that feel too intense for their age

Separation struggles
clinginess or fear of being apart from parents

Avoiding school

Struggles with appetite or daily routines
mealtimes, mornings, or transitions that feel harder than they should
If you’re worried and wondering whether this is “just a phase” or something more then you’re not alone.
I help children make sense of their big feelings and worries, understand what’s happening inside their mind and bodies using play and science backed strategies that make it feel less scary.
My goal?
To help your child feel braver and help you feel more supported & confident along the way.

What sessions feel like with Children

Getting started with Peekaboo
A brief phone or video call to hear your concerns, answer questions, and explore whether Peekaboo is the right fit for your child.
At Peekaboo, we know first meetings can feel big and sometimes overwhelming for young children. When that’s the case, we may offer a short, no-pressure “hello meeting” to help your child feel comfortable before starting therapy.
We use evidence-based assessment tools to gain a clear picture of your child’s current symptoms and needs. We create a personalized care plan based on the intake assessment — one that reflects your child’s unique needs and strengths..
With your consent, we coordinate with teachers, school counselors, pediatricians, and other specialists so your child’s care feels consistent and supported at every step.
Using evidence-based approaches (CBT, ERP, ACT) combined with play-based techniques, we tailor therapy to your child. Parents are active partners and parent sessions are an integral part of the process. We also continue to track progress along the way. Ongoing check-ins with parents, children, and progress measures help us ensure therapy is creating meaningful, lasting change..
Questions Parents Ask
I see children 7 and up, as well as parents seeking guidance for younger kids through SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). Therapy looks different at every age and younger kids often learn through play and stories.
Many kids who are feeling anxiety resist therapy at first. I use gentle engagement, play, creativity, and choice to help children feel safe and curious about the process. My goal is to meet your child where they are, never forcing participation, but inviting connection.
And if your child is too young, unmotivated, or not ready to participate, I can still help through SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). This approach works directly with parents to reduce anxiety-supporting behaviors at home and create change even without your child attending sessions.
Yes. I believe therapy works best when parents are part of the process. Depending on your child’s needs, you may join early sessions, receive tools to use at home, or have dedicated parent sessions so the entire family can support progress.
Every child’s needs are unique, but most families start noticing meaningful changes within 3-4 months with sessions held weekly. I’ll work with you to create a personalized care plan and check in regularly to ensure therapy is practical, effective, and responsive to your child’s pace.
Yes, when appropriate and with your permission. I collaborate with teachers, school counselors, or pediatricians to ensure your child receives consistent support across environments.
